The course introduces participants to the major genres of Photography: traditional portrait, fashion, documentary, landscape, motion/sports, product, and environmental portraiture.
The curriculum and structure of Certificate in Digital Photography has been prepared by industry professionals and Raffles academics of international calibre. All course components consist of practical based assignments that allow students to work tutor directed and self-directed. This style of learning is supported by a variety of methods including lectures, demonstrations, group activities, research, field trips, weekly critiques, guest speakers and practical shooting assignments.
The assignments are structured to enable individual candidates to develop work patterns and autonomy similar to that of a professional photographer and the commercial working environment. Throughout all of these assignments there is a strong emphasis on supporting individual learning styles and the development of independent learning skills. All assignments produced during the course go towards student portfolio, which means that by the end of the course student will have professional photographic portfolio to present.
