Course Components

The course is built around several separate components. These components consist of practical based assignments that allow students to work tutor directed and self-directed. This style of learning is supported by a variety of methods including: lectures, demonstrations, group activities, research, field trips, weekly critiques, guest speakers and practical shooting assignments.

The assignments (within the components above) are structured to enable individual candidates to develop work patterns and autonomy similar to that of a professional photographer and the commercial working environment. Throughout all of these assignments there is a strong emphasis on supporting individual learning styles and the development of independent learning skills.
